ABOUT THE ISLAND OF SAINT LUCIA

St Lucia is famous for the twin peaks of the magnificent Pitons, rainforest walks, waterfalls, golden beaches and bubbling volcanic springs. It even boasts a drive-in volcano.
Most cruising visitors will first enter the magnificent Rodney Bay. It was Admiral Nelson’s first choice anchorage and was in fact named after Admiral Rodney.
Today there is access to two inner lagoons, one of which includes the IGY Rodney Bay Marina, which is the host to each year’s ARC, The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers). 250+ Yachts arrive here in December after crossing the Atlantic from the Canary Islands in Europe.
